This 21 Days Uganda and Rwanda wildlife safari enables you to explore Uganda the Pearl of Africa, where the Savannah meets the rain-forest and Rwanda the Land of a thousand hills. Expect to see the animals of the savanna-like lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, among others and the tropical rain-forest which is a home of 16 primate species mainly Gorillas and Chimpanzees.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Entebbe/ Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Your guide will be there waiting for you to pick you up and proceed to your accommodation.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja.
After breakfast, drive to Jinja and visit the source of the Nile. We visit local communities to see their rural and local way of living. Have lunch and thereafter go for White Water rafting, kayaking, quad biking or horse riding (optional activities). Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Drive to Sipi Falls.
Today we will drive to Sipi Falls, the highest waterfall in Uganda, the water fall down for 100 meters. This is a beautiful landscape on the slopes of Mount Elgon (4321 m). Make a beautiful walk to the 3 huge waterfalls. This area is known for its stunning panoramas and attractive villages. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Lira.
After a relaxing morning, drive to Lira, stopover at the Nyero Rock Paintings, dating back to the iron age. Lira is a beautiful town with various markets, cafes and exchange African tales with the locals in the area. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Drive to Murchison Falls National Park which is our first safari destination. Stopover along the Nile to see Karuma Falls. Check into your lodge for lunch and go for an evening game drive. Murchison Falls is the biggest and oldest national parks of Uganda. One of the main attractions is the Nile, where the large volume of water forces itself through a narrow gorge and falls 60 meters below. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and maybe leopards. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Game drive and Boat cruise.
Early morning game drive gets a chance to spot a number of cats and the big four in the wilderness. Take an afternoon boat ride on the Victoria Nile upstream to the bottom of the falls. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes as they come to quench their thirst. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 7: Game drives and Chimpanzee trekking.
Take an early morning game drive and afterward visit the top of the falls. In the afternoon, visit Budongo Forest where we can have a jungle walk to see chimps, monkeys, and birds. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.
After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest arrive and make a walk around the lodge in the afternoon. During this walk, it is possible to see monkeys and birds. It is also possible to make a night walk through the forest to see the animals of the night, like bush babies (both activities optional).

Kibale Forest has 13 primate species like Chimps, Baboons, Black and White colobus, Red colobus, Grey-cheeked Mangabey and L’Hoest monkey. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi walk
You will have a Chimpanzee tracking either in the morning or in the afternoon. It is also possible to upgrade this 1 hour tracking to a full day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience.

A walk in the Bigodi Wetland and a visit to the local people or the crater lakes offers a great experience. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Semuliki – Night game drive
After a relaxed morning breakfast transfer to Semuliki National Park. Visit the Sempaya Hot Springs in the afternoon. Relax in your lodge as you wait for a night game drive. Semuliki is a unique place and the only lowland jungle in East Africa. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and make a stopover at the equator. An afternoon game drive will offer an opportunity to see lions. Expect to see more like elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and maybe leopards. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 12: Game drives and Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel.
Go for a morning game drive return for lunch and enjoy an afternoon Boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. The Channel is the highlight of Queen Elizabeth visit because it has the highest concentration of hippos in the world. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 13: Game drives and Optional Chimp trekking in Kyambura
Early morning game drive or optional chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. In the afternoon we drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector in the South. Game drive in the afternoon in search of the tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 14: Early morning game drive in Ishasha and Transfer to Bwindi
Early morning game drive in Ishasha to see the tree climbing lions you drive out to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. On our way, we pass through interesting villages and have some breathtaking views of the mountains. Bwindi Impenetrable is a unique jungle, with many monkey species. Bwindi is one of the 2 places in the world where you can find Mountain Gorillas. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 15: Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa
Early morning departure with your ranger to search for one of the world’s most interesting and endangered species, the Mountain Gorilla! You will spend one hour with one of our closest relatives. An experience you will never forget. Return to your lodge for lunch and later head for another activity the Batwa visit. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 16: Transfer to Lake Mutanda
After breakfast transfer to Lake Mutanda, one of the most beautiful places in Uganda. As you drive, and on a clear day, you can see the 3 volcanoes in the distance. Relax at the lodge or do one of the following activities; boat trip on the lake, walk along the lake or to the local community for the Batwa. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 17: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
Full day on Lake Bunyonyi Possible activities: make a nature walk and later go for canoe riding this will enable you to view various islands on the lake each island has history attached learn more, take a swim or visit the local community. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 18: Transfer to Akagera national park in Rwanda
Early in the morning drive to the border and cross to Rwanda and head to Akagera Nationa Park. Arrive later evening have dinner and go for a night game drive. Lucky visitors might stumble across a leopard, a spotted hyena, even a stray lion. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 19: Game drive and Boat cruise on Lake Ihema
Early morning drive to the northern section of the park to see the early morning risers returning from their hunt; that are active in the night and barely seen throughout the day. During the drive, you will see large numbers of animals such as bushbucks, lions, giraffes, antelopes plus zebras.

Immediately after lunch, go for a boat cruise on the beautiful lake Ihema, a really rewarding experience. Afterwards transfer your hotel for dinner and overstay.

Day 20: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
Take breakfast and drive to the park offices for the briefing about the primates; thereafter enter into the tropical rain-forest to look for the shy primates. While searching for the chimpanzees you will spot almost all the native 13 primates. Return to the lodge for lunch and do the canopy walk to spot the other primates and birds at the closer view. Later transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 21: Kigali city tour and departure
After breakfast drive to the heart of Rwanda for a tour; and enjoy Kigali the lovable city in the land of “a thousand hills”. The city is very spotless and the people are very hospitable and friendly. Visit the Genocide Memorial Centre and learn more about the genesis of the genocide.

You will also visit the National Museum and other eye-catching sites within and around the city. Have lunch and later catch up with your flight back home.
