This 3 Days Kibale forest Chimpanzee tracking tour sets you off from Kampala Uganda’s capital or Entebbe to Kibale forest national park the primate capital of the world and one of the most rewarding areas to explore. You will have a lifetime experience while encountering these primate species in their natural habitat and have an opportunity to see a number of bird species.
Programme for the 3 Days Kibale forest Chimpanzee tracking tour
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
After your delicious breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from the Airport or your hotelof residence and briefs on your 3 day safari programme. Then embark on your 4 to 5 hours’ journey through Mityana road to Kibale forest national park. You will have a stopover in Fort portal for our lunch, later continue driving to the forest.
Dinner and overnight stay at our reserved lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking experience and Nature walk
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides about the chimpanzee tracking guidelines and regulations. Afterwards proceed into the forest for your great experience under the guidance of a park ranger and guides who will help you locate the chimpanzees and educate you on the variety of primate, bird and tree species found in the forest.
During your chimpanzee tracking activities expect to see a number of other primate species including baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, L’host monkeys, pottos, red colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, among others and mammal species like buffaloes, exclusive forest elephants, giant forest hogs, and many more.
After tracking the chimpanzees, return to our lodge for relaxation and lunch. Later in the afternoon proceed a guided nature walk in Bigodi sanctuary where you will a number of bird species and beautiful birds. The Papyrus Gonolek and Great Blue Turaco are among the 137 bird species.
Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overstay.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala or preferred drop off point
After breakfast, we drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel of residence or preferred drop off point for drop off. Alternatively we can transfer you to some other tourist destination for a different experience.
