Uganda Airlines – Fly the plane to the pearl of Africa

Uganda Airlines based at Entebbe International Airport is Uganda’s national passenger and cargo carrier with scheduled flights in East Africa and near international markets. Recently the Airline has been revived with two Bombardier CRJ900s. Currently the airline is gifted with 4 Bombardier CRJ900 planes.

The Airline operates regional services to the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya, Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Juba in South Sudan, Bujumbura in Burundi, and Mogadishu in Somalia.

With the upcoming arrival and addition of new planes to the Uganda Airline’s fleet, they will expand the route map and fly to DRC, Zanzibar, Asmara, Hargeisa, Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg, Djibouti, and Addis Ababa. The airline also plans to make international flights linking the pearl of Africa to Europe, the Middle East, West Africa and Asia.

It’s also said that by the end of 2021, Uganda Airline will be serving 20 destinations.

How to book Uganda Airlines ticket online?
Travellers can easily visit the Uganda Airline’s web portal (https://ugandairlines.com/) for easy flight booking to and from the country. Jennifer Bamutulaki Musiime, the Commercial and Marketing Director of Uganda Airlines says the introduction of a web portal will enable travellers to easily book flights to and from the country.

“It is one of the new methods we have introduced and wish all our clients adopt to using this technology for booking to avoid wastage of time while moving to the different offices we have,” Bamutulaki says.

Entebbe International Airport, Uganda Airlines’ Hub Airport.
Entebbe International Airport is the pearl of Africa’s international or major airport situated close to Lake Victoria in Entebbe town. This airport was built in 1951 and is the main airport for international traffic. In 2015, the airport announced expansion and modernisation plans for the airport to begin in 2015, lasting until 2035. The expansion will consist of three phases, including expanding the existing cargo terminal, building a new passenger terminal and strengthening the existing runways.

The airport is currently the hub for Eagle Air, but also operates services for a number of airlines such as flydubai, KLM, South African Airways, EgyptAir, Air Tanzania and also a large number or cargo airlines.
