The East African Community (EAC) is an intergovernmental organization composed of six countries in the African Great Lakes region in eastern Africa; and these include Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The East African Community Anthem was adopted by the East African Community Summit on December 3, 2010 in order to strengthen the integration process.

Below is the East African Community Anthem in Swahili:

Jumuiya Yetu sote tuilinde
Tuwajibike tuimarike
Umoja wetu ni nguzo yetu
Idumu Jumuiya yetu.

1st stanza
Ee Mungu twaomba ulinde
Jumuiya Afrika Mashariki
Tuwezeshe kuishi kwa amani
Tutimize na malengo yetu.

2nd stanza
Uzalendo pia mshikamano
Viwe msingi wa Umoja wetu
Natulinde Uhuru na Amani
Mila zetu na desturi zetu.

3rd stanza
Viwandani na hata mashambani
Tufanye kazi sote kwa makini
Tujitoe kwa hali na mali
Tuijenge Jumuiya bora.
