This 5 Days Chimpanzee tracking and wildlife safari transfers you to Kibale Forest National Park the best safari destination in Africa for chimpanzee tracking, chimpanzee habituation experience and has the highest number and diversity of primates in East Africa. This 5 day safari further takes to Queen Elizabeth national park famously known for its tree climbing lions in the Ishasha plains and Lake Bunyonyi also known as the place for many little birds.
Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel and set off for Kibale National Park, located in western Uganda. Arrive in Fort Portal town by mid-day and stopover for lunch at gardens hotel. Continue to the park, arrive in the afternoon and head for a light walk in the wetlands. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters, meet the ranger guides for a briefing. Set off into the forest to trek the chimpanzees, take pictures, videos as you observe their way of life. Later drive to Queen Elizabeth national park and have lunch, embark on the evening game drive, after, retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
Morning game drives along the Kasenyi plains where you expect to see elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and lions. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. You will view hippos, crocodiles as well as elephants along the river banks. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you will then take a canoe ride to some of the islands on Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest Lake in Africa. You will also spend some time interacting with the locals on the island. Later return to the lodge, relax as you watch the array of beautiful birds and the sunset along the shores. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast drive back to Kampala for a city tour and later transfer to Entebbe to catch up with your flight back home.
